In the ocean seahorses cling to seaweed to stay safe but this little guy is flying free! This is a commissioned piece that I did this week. I’m getting ready to pack it up and ship it off to the new proud owner. And it’s fun to think that I’m also flying free. I’m on my own but not really, just like this little guy, I got people looking out for me.
It was done in pencil first and submitted for approval. Then it was inked in black then the color was added in and blended. After staring at it for hours to decide what color the seahorse should be (the answer is any color, just Google the little buggers.) I settled on lovely magenta, purples and greens! This was a fun scene to illustrate. I wouldn’t mind eventually doing a whole underwater series. Fun fun fun! What do you think?
